Cessna has finally released Elliptical Winglets for their flagship aircraft, the Citation X. All nine Cessna Service Centers throughout the United States and Europe will have the ability to retrofit the Citation for a hefty $415,000, plus $176,000 for installation. The benefits include 4% fuel consumption reduction, 15 knot airspeed gain, and 150NM increase in range.
It’s not an economical add-on, but might be worth it when it comes to reselling or extended use. A winglet equipped Citation is aesthetically pleasing and will certainly catch a lot of attention.
Cessna will have a special winglet display at the NBAA in Orlando, FL this year.
